J.D.Neuhaus
The brand name of J.D.Neuhaus or JDN for short has been around for well over 250 years. Founded, unintentionally by Johann D Neuhaus in 1745 when he created a shaft winch made from wood, this was the beginning of his career in fabrication in the lifting industry.
Winches were the primary product for J.D.Neuhaus until the early 1950’s when they constructed a hoist which was driven by compressed air. This had massive benefits for industries such as mining, as they could now safely use powered lifting devices to make lifting heavy loads much easier. In the early 60’s air hoists were designed for more general industrial use, this is when we first saw the ‘Profi’ air hoist.
It was in the 1980’s that JDN became a worldwide brand name, when subsidiaries were set up in China, USA, France, UK & Singapore to enable mass imports. The results are plain to see.
J.D.Neuhaus was and still is a family run business, passed down through many generations, and pride themselves on the highest of quality products and continually strive for more eco-friendly processes
