About the Cobra 3 Leg G80 Chain Components

Short link chain; black finish, grade 80 alloy steel. Meets BS EN 818-2.

All components below are grade 80 with a red painted finish.

Master-link;

Component connectors; Meets BS EN 1667-1; used to connect chain into the master-link the correct way.

Shortening Hook; Fits into the master-link to enable shortening of each chain leg. Meets BS EN 1677-1.

Clevis sling hook; A simple, popular slink hook with a sprung safety catch and removable clevis type fitting. Meets BS EN 1677-2.

Clevis self locking hook; Larger throat opening with self lock feature. Meets BS EN 1677-3.

Clevis C hook; An open hook with no safety latch. Meets BS EN 1677-1.

Swivel eye self locking hook; Permanently fitted self locking hook with swivelling eye. Meets BS EN 1677-3.

Configuring your Cobra G80 Sling

First determine the chain size with the working load limit you need, then decide on the maximum length you are likely to need. Shortening hooks can be added to your order if you think you will sometimes need to shorten the chain.

Next, think about your loads and how you wish to connect them to the sling. Select the appropriate fitting and we will match the size to the chain you have chosen to ensure optimum configuration and safety. That’s it, we will do the rest.
